The Dick McTaggart Gymastics Centre, which features specialist equipment for elite competitors, was closed for around six weeks earlier this year to allow for maintenance work.
An essential part of the maintenance work was an upgrade to the heating system. Working alongside Dundee City Council and the mechanical contractors Scan Building Services Ltd, Solray designed, manufactured and installed radiant heating panels from their specialist Angled Wall Panel range.
Having worked for Dundee City Council on a similar project previously, the Building Services Engineers were keen to utilise Solray’s unique approach to heating large open spaces, especially given the architectural design of the gymnastics centre and the various gymnastics equipment present in the hall.
